At Why Me Ministry INC, we only believe the Truth from the Word of God! We are a non-denomination outreach ministry with a passion to serve others. Founded in-between the colorful bluffs and the mighty Mississippi river in La Crosse Wisconsin, we are truly blessed by not only the beauty of our community but the people who call La Crosse home. Pastor Kevin Holcomb started out in ministry back in 1996 with jail ministry which evolved into prison ministry and eventually outreach ministry for the community. After being involved in many churches over the years, Pastor Kevin decided to venture into what God commanded him to do, starting Why Me Ministry. Many visions, disappointments, discouragement, Kevin never gave up and with many prayers and the confidence of others, fulfilled the command for an outreach ministry.

We are reminded that the devil will try to intervein any way he can. It says in John 10:10, “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy”. We can’t let the devil win, we must focus on the one who counts, Jesus. Our theme if you will, in scripture is from 1 Corinthians 13:4-13. “4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

8 Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. 9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part, 10 but when completeness comes, what is in part disappears. 11 When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me. 12 For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.

13 And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love”.

Faith, hope, and love is the basis of this ministry and what it represents. We are truly excited for what God has planned for this ministry. Many plans and ideas are in the works and awaiting for spiritual guidance and of course funding. A ministry can function with out funding, but it is hard to maintain it’s true integrity with out some funding to support the “behind the scenes” area of ministry along with the goal to provide Bibles to anyone in need without cost. That is just one goal of many. We do trust and have faith that God will provide.
